Have You Heard about the "Dance for a Chance?"
A Viral Movement Gives People the Chance to Spread Awareness About Domestic Violence
A new phenomenon has hit the social media circuit – “Dance for a Chance”. The challenge involves people dancing in public on video for 15 seconds, posting that video to social media, then nominating others to do the same, all in an effort to raise domestic violence and child abuse awareness. People can either accept the challenge or make a donation to Laura’s House/The Child Abuse Prevention Center, or do both.
Dont forget to #DanceForAChance in your posts!
The San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club 5th annual fundraising event, Dancing for a Cause.
This unique event is designed to provide participating local non-profit organizations with a fund raising opportunity without having to incur the cost and obligation of organizing the entire event themselves. The San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club does it for them.
Based on the hit TV show, “Dancing with the Stars,” Dancing for a Cause, a semiformal affair, will feature sponsored dancers from service clubs and non-profit groups that have elected to participate. Each dancer, representing his or her respective charity (Laura's House), will be paired with a professional ballroom dancer and will compete for a monetary prize for their non-profit and the coveted “Top Dancer” trophy.
Help our dancer Cheryl Osborn raise money and Awareness for Laura's House!!
