Mass Fallen Heroes has become an organization near and dear to my heart. I began my journey with MFH when a family member, LCpl William J.Donovan, Jr. U.S.M.C. ("Dapper") and two-time Purple Heart recipient passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2015. It was this day that I was inspired to carry on Will's legacy and run the 2016 Boston Marathon for Will. I raised over $28,000 for MFH in Will's honor. I continued on my journey with MFH by running the 2016 Marine Corps Marathon in D.C. Taking a break from long distance running, I helped the 2017 Boston Marathon team from the sidelines. Upon me is a new opportunity, running one of my favorite races for MFH, the Boston Run to Remember. This race begins and ends in the Seaport District, right near the beautiful MFH memorial. This year I will be running the 5 miler distance, weaving in and out of the streets of downtown Boston on Sunday May 28th. Please join me in supporting this organization - honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice, supporting our Vets and Gold Star Families. I appreciate all of the support from family, friends and strangers to date. No amount is too small. "Give until giving feels like receiving."
