Lauren lee's EP
Organized by: Lauren Lee
I got involved in music in 2008 when I bought my first Yamaha keyboard. Since I purchased that little keyboard, this small musical hobby has evolved into a passion, dream, and calling. When I arrived at Lee University in the Fall of 2012, I knew that I wanted to major in music. I had no prior in depth musical experience, no knowledge in music theory, and no classical training. There is honestly no reason I can think of that I should have been accepted, but God made a way and here I am within months of graduating with a degree in Church Music. I didn’t begin writing songs until January 2014 after one of the most difficult and darkest times in my life. This is when I wrote my first song I ever recorded, “Lovesick”. Going out on a whim I sang it at my home church in Nashville and the feedback was incredibly encouraging. Since then I have put my heart and soul into writing music and becoming a writer and worship leader that tries to put raw emotion in the music I write about our Savior. I have continued to write songs, but I have only been able to record one other song since “Lovesick” because the funds have been unavailable. I am working on finishing my EP and there are three more songs that I need to record in order to make it complete. All three songs are studio-ready, and all I need now is to raise the funds in order to have them recorded. I have raised some money through working and saving, but as a student, it has been difficult to raise all of the funds needed. I would be so thankful if you decided to come alongside of me to help pursue my dream in spreading the love of Christ through the songs that I’ve written. God has placed this calling heavy on my heart, and it would mean the world to have my friends and family support me through this project. I am hoping to have this money raised within the month so I can begin recording and have this EP finished by graduation to use towards my portfolio. Every little bit counts and no amount is too small! Thank you so much in advance for your support and prayers!
