Stuff About Me:

Hello Everyone! Thanks for taking time to view my page and take interest in my journey! Team IronMan Foundation is giving me an amazing oppurtunity to not only give back to my community, but help to inspire others to achieve their goals! I'm a proud mother of two young boys, hapily married, and working full time as a pediatric medical assistant! As you can imagine I have quite a full schedule, but the biggest life lesson I want to teach my children is to never give up on their dreams. The sky is not the limit, and no matter what challenges arise you will get through them.

With that being said, my journey began in the most commonplace many people find themselves these days, sitting in front of the tv with cookie dough, and remembering the "ol days". As I was flipping through the channels, I came across highlights of the Ironman World Championships Kona 2013. I was instantly intrigued, set aside the cookie dough, and committed to some serious life changes.

I've always been athletic and a runner, but after having 2 babies, my body was in no condition to go out and run many miles, and definatly not a triathalon! I needed to build my body back, and make a change. I began to notice that not only was I having a hard time keeping up with my kids but my energy was much lower than i realized. I decided that a change had to happen not just for my health, but to keep up with my growing boys. I want to always be able to play and be active with them, however with the choices and path I was on at the time I found myself numerous times out of breath and sitting, watching. Hello wake up call!

Flash forward a year, and I'm in the best shape of my life! I'm healthier than I was in high school, now have the drive and dedication I was lacking, love and support of my family, and most importantly I'm the mom I always wanted to be! We are a high energy family to say the least! The best moments in life are spent with the ones who matter most, and thanks to my training for the Ironman, i've added on quite a few more years to spend with them. I can't fully describe in words what their smiles mean to me as I'm finishing a workout, the encouraging praises they shout at me as I'm running by, and not to mention the countless refills of water they give me while i'm recovering. They're my world, and I'm so pleased to share my journey with them.

Team IMF is giving me the ticket to the show, It's up to me and you to get there! With this charity, I'm also gaining the satisfaction in putting all my hard work to a great cause. The donations raised benefit not just our local community but also help enable future athletes to be inspired to run for good. The outcome in a nutshell is this, you are helping me achieve my dream and you're giving to an amazing cause. The amount donated to our community is spread amongst not just one specific cause, but many! Take a minute to really look at what the IronMan Foundation is all about, and if you feel the conviction I feel as well, please please donate to this fundraiser through me! Help me reach my goal of atleast $3,000 and become apart of my history! Thank you for sharing a moment of your day with me, and God Bless!
