BENEFITING: Generation Ubuntu
I am proud to be a #DoUbuntu Ambassador, committed to raising funds and awareness for an organization very close to my heart: Ubuntu Africa in honor of World AIDS Day - December 1st, 2013.
Ubuntu Africa (UBA) provides life-thriving care to HIV+ children in South Africa. It was founded by my friend, Whitney Johnson when she was just 21 years old.
I met Whitney in South Africa in 2008. She had just started her organization and was working with just a handful of children. Today, she’s actively working with over 200 children and has touched the lives of many more. Rarely have I come across a person work as hard as she. Not only does Ubuntu Africa provide healthcare for the kids but they provide love, hope and education so that they can have a better life.
Whitney is an inspiration to me as a woman, as a leader and as someone who can dedicate themselves as passionately to a cause as she has. I’ve spent time witnessing Ubuntu’s work firsthand. I would never be able to give in the way that they have but I’m here to do the small part that I can. I encourage those around me to do the same.
I know from my own experience the magic of Ubuntu and I encourage you to join me by donating anything you can!
Your support means so much to me,
