Law Enforcement, Fire, & EMS Battle
Organized by: Christopher Jackson
This 4 man golf scramble is for Law Enforcement, Fire, & EMS personnel only, and has grown to be one of the most popular golf scrambles for the "public safety occupations" in the Mid-Ohio Valley (WV/OH) and the State of West Virginia. The idea was brought about in early summer of 2005 and became true August 5, 2005 and continues to be a yearly tradition. The idea was to get First Responders out on the golf course to ENJOY a day on the links, PAY THANKS and GIVE RESPECTto what our emergency service personnel do for our communities.
These men and woman have dedicated their lives in helping their local communities. Often, these jobs are in the worst of conditions, often little pay, benefits or recognition, and often volunteer jobs. While we sleep under our roof, we are reassured every night that at a quick touch of a dial we know that these First Responders will be at our residence in the matter of minutes. First Responders are qualified professionals dedicated in serving the public in time and need. First Responders often put themselves and their family last in order to provide safety and comfort to our communities.
This event will be the 11th annual event and the event is fully funded by public and business donations. The donations collected will provide great prizes for the First Responders along with an awards and lunch banquet.
Furthermore, additional donations collected will be saved and this event will be able to provide small financial gifts to First Responders in need throughout the year. In the past, we have had First Responders and their family members have unexpected illness problems, houses burnt down, and other unexpected situations.
You donation will go towards a great cause.
Thank you for your Support.
