Layla needs Help for Surgery

THE STORY:

This is Layla, a 10-year-old chihuahua and beagle mix, and she has a large tumor in her abdomen that, according to her vet, will continue to grow. Right now, it is approximately 1/3 of her total body weight. We know this since, in January of 2015, she had another one removed at approximately the same weight she is now. After recent ultrasounds, the surgeon has decided a second surgery would, at this time, be a viable option. The cost of the procedure is estimated at $2,700, assuming there are no complications. I don't have the funds to pay for the surgery at this time, and that is why I am asking for your help.  Layla will need this done soon since lately she's been having more and more difficulty keeping her food down. There are days when she seems fine, others when she eats but can't keep it down, and still others when she can't eat at all. I should add there are no guarantees this will permanently solve the issue. But the surgeon is hopeful. It was remarkable last year how much better she was after surgery. We're hoping this will make her comfortable and give her back the energy she had before. Please share this with your friends. If you are hesitant to donate online, I would be happy to give you my home address (you can message me here), providing you are friends with someone I know. If there are any funds remaining, I will be donating them to a local organization called Short Mountain Dog Rescue. It is a small nonprofit here in middle Tennessee. You can read about them here: http://www.murfreesboropost.com/for-the-love-of-dogs-couple-saves-castaway-canines-cms-38896 Layla and I (and her sister, Maizie) would be so grateful for any donation you can afford.
