Introduction: The Colored Community in South Africa comprise of an est. Of 4million people spread over 9 provinces. The (11) languages of the people of South Africa also spread over 9 provinces. Demographics of SA: Blacks 75mil Whites 4mil Coloreds 4mil Traditionally, Colored people still remain within the group of "previously disadvantaged people" because of the legacy of Apartheid. The growing population, and decrease in work opportunities of the past and present led to the same dismal conditions and for many families nothing has changed and many live in sub human conditions. Colored people are very nice people to live with. Very strong Christians, and live peacefully with Muslims. Many talented people are lost and we do not see many athletes, or musicians, ballerinas to mention, some of the things we miss. We really want to try and help here. We are making an effort to break through the backlog of unemployed caused by lack of skills and, also hope to provide a platform where young adults can learn and be equipped for the workplace. Technically, if we had the resources, it would not be difficult to implement. Vision: To build from the homefront; Since the Coloured people are mostly craftsmen/women, we hope to start a skills transfer centre which would extract knowledge of our own people and provide: *special skills training *motivational and career development *assistance with job placement and/support in starting small business entity *provide support on family reconstruction procedures (to help single households; families torn by violence and drug abused households) #other aspects of life which would increase chances of a unitary or one family succeeding. Since we understand, the difficulties of single household families we feel the need here is greater and will focus on youth groups as support for young adults; mentor relationship in the form of "sponsored Fathers". This can be achieved and once a process is in place we can extend it to other provinces. Our initial focus is on Eersterust known as "Die Kassie - Afrikaans short word for Cupboard), Pretoria as this is the only Coloured Township in Pretoria. Pretoria also the housing city of Government - Union Buildings. Conclusion If i had but one opportunity to improve the lives of these very lovely, and kind people. Please support us. Layla's Outpost will remain our voice through our daily write ups. I love them, I lived with Colored people all my life, and for them I would stand before you and make this appeal. Thank you,
