The Lifecycle Building Center (LBC) is a new non-profit in Atlanta, Georgia that diverts construction and demolition waste by salvaging reusable building materials and making them available to the public through a variety of means, including a retail operation currently located at 1116 Murphy Avenue SW, between the neighborhoods of Adair Park, Oakland City and Capitol View. The proceeds of the retail store will be reinvested back into the surrounding community through the provision of green building education and job training programs, as well as through the creation of a community center.
The LBC is currently an all-volunteer effort. For more information about our latest salvage project, which involved over 70 volunteers, please visit our website:
Once we have gathered sufficient inventory and strengthened the salvaged building material market within Atlanta, the LBC operation will be fully self-supporting through retail sales. In the meantime, please consider supporting our effort through a tax-deductible donation. In order to keep our doors open while we continue gathering inventory, we need to raise $50,000 for initial facility costs such as Equipment ($25,000...includes warehouse racking, shelving, pallet jacks, handtrucks, tools, computers/internet, etc.), Marketing ($5,000), Office Supplies/Services ($5,000) & 6 months of Rent ($15,000). Please also feel free to contact us with any questions:
Thank you for your interest in the LBC!
