This fall I will be participating in my college's annual Shinerama campaign at University College at the University of Toronto.
The Shinerama campaign is the largest post-secondary fundraiser in Canada where all proceeds go towards research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. CF is a multi-organ disease, primarily affecting the lungs and digestive system. A build up of mucus makes it difficult for them to breathe and absorb the nutirents they need making them prone to inflammation and infections. There is no cure for cystic fibrosis.
I am excited to get the chance to help my college in reaching our goal of raising $10,000 towards CF research. Hopefully between our house (Landsberg Lewis) and the other 15 houses at UC, we will be able to reach our most ambitious goal to date.
It's a great cause and I would really appreciate your support of me and UC's Shinerama campaign. I hope that someday when we see CF, we can say ‘Cure Found’ and know we made a difference. Please click on the link below, and make a secure online donation using your credit card. Unfortunately, we can't do this directly through crowdrise since we are raising money for a Canadian charity. Hopefully, we can still get the message out there through Crowdrise. If you are so inclined and able to donate, you can copy and paste the link below into your browser, and it will take you to a secure site that will ensure our Canadian charity can receive the donations. I am so appreciative of any and all contributions, no matter how small.
I want to thank you again in advance for your support.
Let's make this a Shine Year to remember!!
