NYC Marathon - Done!
November 07, 2016
BENEFITING: The V Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 06, 2016
Hello! I'll be running 26.2 miles in my hometown in honor of my friend, Maryluz Gonzalez, and friends and family who have been affected by cancer.
Maryluz and I have been friends since 2002 when we became coworkers in San Jose, CA. Even though I don't live in California anymore, we have remained friends, and I have watched her and her husband, Charlie, become parents to two great kids. Maryluz is a true inspiration, fighting breast cancer with humor and grace.
While I have run marathons before, this one will be the most meaningful as every step and every mile will be for Maryluz and those I know who have been affected by cancer. Running 26.2 miles is easy compared to beating cancer.
