BENEFITING: Lead Program In Business
The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas - Austin hosted the Leadership Education And Development program from 1984 - 2003. During this program, 600+ LEAD scholars resided and attended classes on-campus at a top business school for two to four weeks. The program engaged scholars in an intense, hands-on curriculum incorporating case studies, business plans and team projects. It provided LEAD scholars with first-hand knowledge and experiences from business professionals and college professors. It also linked scholars to corporate executives in the business world and sets the stage for LEADers to form lifelong bond with peers with similar aspirations and abilities. Scholars explore topics on finance, entrepreneurship, accounting and marketing, among other business sectors.
