Leadership Exchange provides direct financial support and volunteer assistance to grass roots non-profits in developing nations. We focus on those organizations who serve the world’s most vulnerable children and their families, aiming to help people get back on their feet through education and life skills. With the valuable assistance of our runners, we are able to provide support to help build schools, homes, day care centers, and more.
Leadership Exchange’s primary beneficiary, Bana Ba Letsatsi (Sunshine Children) Center, was established to work directly with disenfranchised children who have left or been forced out of their home for a life on the streets of Maun, in north central Botswana. Bana Ba Letsatsi’s mission is to keep these “social orphans” off the streets and away from negative influences such as drugs (mostly glue sniffing), alcohol, begging, and petty crime. The ultimate goals are to empower the children to return to mainstream schools, help them establish a life away from the parking lots of Maun, and encourage and support them in becoming productive members of society.
We are working to extend our programming to developing schools in Haiti and an orphanage in Cambodia.
