BENEFITING: ARMY RANGER LEAD THE WAY FUND
ORGANIZER: ARMY RANGER LEAD THE WAY FUND
As many of you know, running has always been a passion of mine. After countless runs and races over many years, I am excited to share that on November 6th, I will be lacing up my shoes to run my first marathon! I will be running in the TCS New York City Marathon as a member of team Lead the Way Fund. Let me explain to you why I have chosen to make this commitment and then you will understand why I am so excited and determined to finish 26.2 miles!
Lead the Way Fund, Inc. was established in support of disabled U.S. Army Rangers and the families of Rangers who have died, have been injured, or are currently serving in harm's way around the world. Families of the fallen or disabled are often left behind with an immediate and ongoing need to meet the financial obligations of everyday life. Lead the Way Fund, Inc. will help to ease these financial burdens by providing spouses and children of the deceased, disabled, or active duty Rangers with assistance for health and wellness programs and other services determined to be vital to the family's well-being. These efforts help many families adjust to the realities of their new lives.
The money that I am raising in support of the Lead the Way Fund will provide the motivation for my training, as will the knowledge that my hard work and your support will make a difference in the lives of many Army Rangers and their families. I am running to honor their spirits, their patriotism and the sacrifices they have made for our country. These heroes are the reason I am committing myself to this goal.
I want to thank you in advance for helping me to give back to those who give us so much! This is an exciting time and I hope you will choose to support me in my efforts to make a difference. I will be thinking of each of you as I cross the finish line on November 6th!
