BENEFITING: ARMY RANGER LEAD THE WAY FUND
ORGANIZER: ARMY RANGER LEAD THE WAY FUND
"Oh you played lacrosse in college? Do you know (insert name here)?" The lacrosse world is a close-knit community, more like a family. A few of my favorite things include... my family & friends, (BU) lacrosse, America, and animals.
For the sake of this fundraiser, let's focus on the first three things: family, lacrosse and Amurica!
What happens when worlds collide and a tragedy strikes not only my lax family but my actual blood relatives? Apparently I decide to run the NYC marathon... My cousin's cousin is Sgt. Jimmy Regan, Duke lacrosse All American and decorated Army Sergeant who was tragically killed in combat in 2007. I am running the NYC Marathon to raise money for the Lead the Way Fund that raises funds in support of U.S. Army Rangers and the families of Rangers who have died, have been injured or are currently serving in harm’s way around the world.
Please consider helping me reach my fundraising goal but more importantly contributing to ease the financial hardships faced by family members of our nation's heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect and serve this great nation!
