Welcome to my Leadville Trail 100 Team CKF fundraising page. Thank you for checking it out. I have committed again to racing the Leadville Trail 100 MTB Race to help raise awareness for organ donation and to help raise funds for CKF. July 28 I celebrated my thirteenth anniversary since my liver transplant. I'm stoked to be here. I'm dedicated to sharing the life-saving message of donaiton and showing what's possible after a transplant. 119,000 people are waiting today for the gift of life across our country, 2,300 in Colorado alone. While I was on a waiting list for almost six years I committed to helping give back to those going through the same thing I did.
I'm proud to do this year's race with an awesome group of fourteen riders. Together we have trained hard this summer. I'm lighter and so is my bike. My goal is to break eight hours. I was close last year finishing in 8:11, so I'm determined to come back and get the job done this year. I promised my buddy Gman that I would!
Last year our team of 10 raised $24,000 thanks to your help! The goal is to raise $40,000 this year which will be used to continue our nationwide donor education programs that save lives by increasing awareness about organ & tissue donation. I personally raised. $3,776 last year. My goal is $5,000 this year; I need your help getting there. This year CKF is celebrating its ten year anniversary. I belive in the work we are doing and am proud of our team. We are making a difference to the 119,000 waiting today. I promise I will ride my heart out to proudly represent our foundaiton, team and the cause. Thank you for supporting me again! Hope to see you Saturday in Leadville!
