The Philippines Foundation's Learning Boats will provide 1,000 fisherfolk of Leyte's Fourth District with a turnkey livelihood project. We'll be providing a fiberglass motorized boats which will last 20 years!
LEARNING BOATS ISN'T JUST A BOAT! It’s food. It’s an education. It’s a economic empowerment.. but even more, IT'S ALSO A CLASSROOM
HOW IT WORKS
After the morning catch, fishermen dock their boats where teachers and volunteers use the boats as teaching aids, creating an outdoor learning center.
This program aims to engage parents in financial and entrepreneurial education, so that they may become self-sufficient and support their children to and through high school, at a minimum.
By helping rebuild lives and recover livelihoods, we can create stable futures and sustainable communities.
