AN OBSERVATIONAL STUDY ON VITAMINS AND MINERALS IN THE SCHOOL Last fall, the Professor from the Cumming School of Medicine at University of Calgary, Bonnie Kaplan, PhD and Paula Hilbert, MS CHES conducted a Naturalistic Observational Study at The Learning Curve Academy in Tavares, FL. 37 out of 45 students in attendance, from 1st grade to 12th grade, were given an evidence-based, broad spectrum vitamin/mineral and amino acid complex twice a day for 12 weeks, donated by the non-profit, True Hope out of Alberta Canada. The objective of the study was to chart any benefit received in learning, behavior and/or attitude. These kids had a wide variety of issues ranging from the average child – to children who were stressed and experiencing anxiety, to diagnoses of ADD/ADHD, Bipolar disorder, OCD, behavioral and rage issues, focus issues, and Autism. The kids were asked to measure their emotions; parents were asked to measure their child's behavior and attitude, and teachers measured all of that - plus their academic performance. No matter whether the student had a diagnosis or not, and no matter what the diagnosis was, every child had improvements across the board in Academics, Behavior and Attitude. The level of awareness raised sharply and social skills dramatically improved. GREAT NEWS – GREAT RESULTS! On top of measurable improvements in grades, attitude, mood and behavior, parents reported their children were no longer fighting with their siblings, they were more attentive to their mothers, they were sleeping better and drinking more water, and their personalities were transforming before their mother’s eyes. One mother told me her child had become more compassionate! The success of our study was so significant, I think you'll understand why we wish to keep the students on the complex.
