We Have a Winner!!

There was this professor at a local university who taught a class on special needs education. On the first day of class he would begin by having a male student come to the front and sit in a chair facing the students. The professor would then ask him to untie one of his shoes while he continued to outline the course requirements and so forth. Finally, the professor would tell the student he could retie his shoe and return to his seat. As the confused student bent over to comply, the professor added, "ah, but with one hand." Red-faced and fumbling, the boy struggled amid titters from the class and the impatient voice of the professor berating him for his inability to do something a five-year-old could accomplish. The point was not lost on the class. The teacher then apologized to the student for making him demonstrate what it feels like to be a student struggling with the humiliation of failing to do something most people find easy.
