BENEFITING: LEARN TO LIVE

YOUR DONATION CAN CHANGE LIVES.
For the past 4 years, LearnToLive has brought together hundreds of local and international doctors, nurses, public health professionals, engineers, artists, and volunteers from all walks of life to the islands of Indonesia to help local communities bring awareness and access to their own health, sanitation, and overall wellbeing. Since our first trip back in 2011, LTL has partnered with local clinicians to see over 4000 patients in our health clinics, develop a community mental health program for those in Indonesia with evidence of serious mental illness who have never before been treated, and build 3 rainwater catchment systems in schools while helping students learn how to use filtration systems for clean drinking water and proper hygiene.
This year, on our 5th trip to Indonesia, we will be building 2 more rainwater catchment systems on the very remote island of Nain—an island with no access to clean drinking water and with extremely poor sanitation facilities. This summer we will also be expanding to 2 more communities in order to reach even more people who have never in their lives seen a doctor or been taught about their health and wellness. But in order for LearnToLive to keep reaching more communities like this, we need your help.
This summer, LearnToLive hopes to reach a fundraising goal of $10,000 to help improve the lives of thousands of rural Indonesian residents:
$5000 will go towards building new rainwater filtration systems for the people of Nain.
$1500 will be used to help facilitate LearnToLive’s clinics and health care education training.
$1500 will pay for patients’ medication and treatment.
$1500 will pay for eyeglasses which some residents have never owned or even used before.
$500 will go towards transportation for patients.
Every dollar you help us raise will bring the residents of Indonesia one step closer to having ownership over their own wellbeing, and improve the lives of future generations to come. Will you help us on our quest to teach people today to change tomorrow?
