Lea's Education for Change

I was born into a large family, nine kids in total. We were raised on welfare, food from the food bank, and the kindness of strangers. There was a great deal of abuse in our home. I started running away around the age of 13. I eventually ended up in foster care, going through one group home after another (they called them receiving homes because they were short-term placements). I lived in over a hundred different houses in just a few short years. Then ended up homeless at the age of 17 while I took my parents through court and had them legally declared unfit parents so I could get back into one particular group home where I felt safe and secure.
I have worked since I was 12 years old in one way or another, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I married an active duty military guy straight out of high-school and had two children. After my divorce, I went back to school to get a degree in accounting. The student loan bills total more than 35,000 at this point and just keep growing because I can't afford to pay them. I have never asked for money before, and I plan to continue to work more than full time to support myself and my kids. I will use any money given to me to pay off my student loan bills and if possible, my car loan. I make too much money to get help from any government programs, but not enough for anything other than paying my normal bills. Help me break the cycle of poverty with my little family and show them there is more to life.
