BENEFITING: LEGACY BOXER RESCUE INC
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2013
Legacy Boxer Rescue is a Dallas based dog rescue responsible for saving 290-325 boxers per year. The volunteers are outstanding, each showing tremendous compassion and dedication for these wonderful dogs. For each boxer taken in, Legacy provides a foster family, food and all necessary medical attention.
Our experience with the group began in 2008 when we adopted our first dog Andora. A few years later, we began to volunteer ourselves, helping as foster parents, adoption counselors and completing home visits as part of the applicant approval process.
In 2012, Ben began his journey into health & fitness, losing over 50lbs. In November of that year, Ben found running and completed his first 5k. He continued to run and in March 2013, signed up for the Chicago Marathon.
We would like to use this opportunity to raise money for Boxers in need by donating to Legacy. To match the average cost of saving a single boxer, we have set the goal of this fundraiser at $550.
