We're hiring lawyers to help school bus drivers and monitors in Washtenaw County get our jobs back. When three county school districts "consolidated" their transportation departments, the "new employer" weeded several of us out, declining to hire us. However, we see no valid reasons for having been excluded. We are all good workers with relatively good records, comparable to any of the drivers and monitors who were hired. The discrimination may be a result of union activity, age, seniority, and other subject biases on the part of the "new employer."
