Legs for Liberia is a very special 5K - perhaps the only 5K that runs all the way across the Atlantic. We run this race in little old Palmyra, Virginia to raise money, and again in Paynesville, Liberia to give that money away in the form of trade scholarships to Liberian youth.
Last year we were able to award 30 scholarships to help fill the gaps in education and job opportunity in a country decimated by years of civil war. The hope for peace, stability and self-sufficiency depends on how we equip the next generation.
Come run with us September 22 (you can register for the race here)or join us in spirit by making a donation to the Legs for Liberia scholarship fund. Your contribution will go to Effort Baptist Church (which means it is tax deductible!) and be designated specifically for trade scholarships. (If you prefer to donate offline, message me and I'll get you the info you need.)
When you donate, you will become immediately more attractive and get big philanthropic props which might inspire someone to model their next super hero movie on your life!
