A Leg Up For Lisa
Organized by: Lisa Capp
Lisa Capp is an equestrian trainer from Hershey, PA, who runs a boarding/training facility. Lisa is a literal work-horse. She wakes up in the early morning to care for 37 horses and gives horse riding lessons to over 35 people every week, getting home late at night most days. She finds great joy in helping others and working, as in addition to her daily jobs she also leads a 4-H club and helps the girls of Girl Scouts of America complete their badge requirements In her limited spare-time, she also helps her husband run a dairy farm, which requires much physical labor.
Sadly, Lisa just had a serious dislocation and break of her ankle, requiring surgery. This was a consequence of falling from her barn’s hayloft, and has left her temporarily immobile for 3-4 months. This has really upset her, as she is unable to do what she loves best: teach and care for the horses and her students. Though she has a great support system to care for the horses and help teach while she is healing, she will lose a large part of her income for these next few months. A combination of medical bills and barn expenses has compounded this bleak financial situation. Lisa would really appreciate any support you are able to provide for her in this tough time.
