To my fabulous donors: If yo…
To my fabulous donors:
If you have seen any coverage of yesterday's marathon you know that it was pretty close to perfect in almost every way. The fickle Boston weather was beautiful, the crowds were raucous and orderly, the inspirational stories were everywhere, an American won the men's division for the first time since 1983, the women's winner broke the course record, and 99% of those who started the race completed it! As a first timer, it was quite the experience to hear the crowd cheering and screaming encouragement, and to see Mindy, Alex and Will holding their signs near Mile 17 was unreal. Ultimately, my time was secondary to finishing and reveling in the joy of being a part of a truly special day.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking this journey with me. BTW - our Run to End Alzheimer's team has raised over $425,000 to date!
All the best,
Bob

Tomorrow is the big day and …
Tomorrow is the big day and I want to thank all of you again for your tremendous support. Our team has raised over $400,000 for the Alzheimer's Association! This is a truly special event and you are all a major part of my participation.
If you are interested in following my progress, you have several ways:
1 - Download the BAA Boston Marathon app at baa.org by 6:00 pm EST tonight which allows you to track up to ten runners in the race with four real-time updates (10K, Half-Marathon, 30K, and Finish) You can search runners by name or bib# (mine is 25516).
2. Text my bib# (25516) to 345678 for text updates from AT&T when I cross these same points on the course (these texts do tend to be a bit delayed)
3. Follow the marathon on the following networks:
WBZ-TV
CBS Boston's WBZ-TV is honored again this year to be the exclusive, local broadcast partner of the Boston Marathon and the only local television station providing wire-to-wire coverage of the world-class race for eight consecutive years. WBZ-TV offers a full range of Boston Marathon news, features, and athlete interviews, from the predawn hours in Hopkinton to a complete wrap-up on the WBZ-TV News at 11:00pm.

UNIVERSAL SPORTS NETWORK
Universal Sports Network is the official exclusive, national television network of the 2014 Boston Marathon. In addition to the 118th running of Boston's epic event, Universal Sports will have all your pre- and post-race coverage LIVE from Boston.

WATCH LIVE ONLINE
The Boston Marathon will be streamed live online for free at http://watchlive.baa.org starting at 9:30 a.m. ET.

I have no doubt I will feel your support throughout the race and I am so proud to represent you as we Run to End Alzheimer's and reclaim our Boston Marathon. We do all run together.
Love,
Bob

Because of you I have raised over $6500 so far in support of the Alzheimer's Association! You are awesome.
I am having t-shirts made to commemorate the event and to honor our loved ones who were or are affected by Alzheimer's or early onset dementia. Please email me the name(s) you would like included on the list.
It's getting close - 3 weeks until the marathon. You can sign up for updates on my race progress at baa.org. I am Bib 25516. 11:00 am EST start.
Thank you,

I want to thank you all agai…
I want to thank you all again for your generosity and give you a quick update on my campaign and training. I am at 35% of my goal of $15,000 in donations. While that may sound a little low, I have passed the minimum required and am counting on some corporate sponsors to make significant pledges. Please let me know or pass on this message if you know anyone else who would like to contribute.
The training is going very well except for some battles with my sciatic nerve. With exactly 8 weeks to go, I ran a personal best half marathon in NY's Central Park on Sunday. According to the race calculators, it means I should run a marathon well under the qualifying time (for Boston) for my age (good thing I am old!). Avoiding serious injury and maintaining the training are the keys now. The weather is not cooperating as we expect more snow this weekend and below average temps. As long as marathon day is good, I won't care.
I can't thank each of you enough. Sending a big Trotta hug and much love.
