If you would've asked me a year ago what autism was, I don't think I would've been able to give you an answer. Today, almost a year after Leo's diagnosis, I can tell you that having a child on the spectrum is challenging, hard work and also amazing in so many ways. It can be heartbreaking to watch your son struggle at certain things that his brother can do almost effortlessly, but that's what makes hitting each milestone more meaningful. I've been blessed with such an amazing and supportive family as well as an incredible team of therapists and teachers who are helping Leo reach his full potential each and every day. All that's left for me to do is spread awareness and help make this world a less ignorant place for my child, as well as other people with special needs, to live in. I invite everyone to join me and my team "Leo's Lions" to help spread awareness on May 22nd. If you can show support, donate or just educate yourselves on autism, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
