*So Much Music to Come* from these little musicians!
July 01, 2016
BENEFITING: Maya's Hope Foundation Inc
EVENT DATE: Jun 27, 2016
“Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens.” ― Maria Augusta von Trapp
Who doesn't remember the incredible change in the lives of the children in the Sound of Music AFTER they started making music?!
Let's help kids in the Maya's Hope Violin Ensemble to *keep making music* so they can share what's in their hearts and make the world around them a better, more music-filled place!
Please consider giving what you can toward music lessons and supplies for the new Maya's Hope Violin Ensemble. With lessons at $5 US, a little can really go a long way. For gifts of $20 and above I'm happy to send a serenade your way with an mp3 of a live performance of Tosti's La Serenata sung by yours truly.
Why the Maya's Hope Violin Ensemble?
Maya’s Hope is a 501(c)3 organization that works to improve the quality of life of orphaned, impoverished, and special-needs children on a global scale.
I recently heard about an incredible donation of a large number of used instruments by a fellow supporter of Maya's Hope. The kids no longer need to share instruments and have even formed a mini orchestra!
In my life making music as a classical singer has been one of my greatest joys. Being able to share what is in my heart and mind with others in a language beyond words has truly been a gift. All kids should get the chance to speak their hearts and train their minds through learning music.
