BENEFITING: John Theissen Childrens Foundation
EVENT DATE: Oct 19, 2014
Let Kids Tri (LKT) is a Long-Island based team founded by triathlete, trainer and coach, Nick Castellano. Nick's long time vision has been to build a team of athletes who train and race together, and help support causes that truly make a difference in the lives of children in need.
The team raced together for the first time in the Mightyman Montauk triathlon. Nick selected The John Theissen Children's Foundation (JTCF) for the team's donation. Since 1992, JTCF has donated over 850,000 new toys to sick and underprivileged children in over 185 hospitals and child-care facilities throughout Long Island. Donations enable the foundation to also fulfill wishes, and help families defray medical expenses. Visit www.jtcf.org to learn more about this wonderful charity.
Our team raised $6,000 to help fund the JTCF Wish Program. This program provides special wishes and gifts, such as vacations, Broadway shows, concert and sporting event tickets, iPad’s, Laptops, and much much more. This kind of healing, which helps children put aside their worries and experience the joy of childhood, is possible through the kindness and generosity of others.
On behalf of team Let Kids Tri, I want to thank you for your generous support in helping us reach our goal!
