Illinois Action for Children has an amazing Early Learning Center in Ford Heights Illinois that provides high-quality early care, education and parental supports to some of the most vulnerable children and families in the community. The teachers at this center are so dedicated. They strive to include engaging active learning and play into each and every day—but it can be a challenge, especially without access to an age-appropriate playground.
It’s a fact—in young children, emotional, social, and physical development are encouraged and fueled by play. Playgrounds, with their various structures and challenges, provide a space for children to build, strengthen, and expand their growing minds and bodies.
This is why the Illinois Action for Children’s Associates Board is so excited to lead the “Let’s Build a Playground” corwdfunding campaign. Your support is greatly needed to make sure that the 120 children enrolled annually in Illinois Action for Children’s Ford Heights Early Learning Program have the playground they deserve.
