BENEFITING: JOHNSON COUNTY SHELTERED WORKSHOP
Play is an essential tool in a child's development, with benefits including the development of physical, emotional, social and cognitive skills. The Johnson County Board of Services in Johnson County, Missouri wants to make sure that play experience is available for all by building an inclusive playground. But we have accessible playgrounds... Accessible playgrounds aren't always inclusive. Accessibility means you can get there, but inclusive playgrounds are designed to be usable for children of all ages and abilities. Playground equipment cost big money, inclusive playground equipment costs more. Currently, we have raised $130,000 toward our $250,000 goal. We are asking for your help.
