LET’S HELP ERIC RECOVER HIS LOSS
Organized by: European Body Art
Dear Friends, Makeup Artists, Fans and Enthusiasts,
I wanted to ask you to help us remedy an injustice that was suffered by someone who is special to many of us. This person’s name is Eric.
Eric is a man who has a full time job, a family and lives a pretty regular life. However, as many of us do, there is something more about Eric. He has an absolute passion for makeup and photography. Eric is also one of the nicest people that I have ever met. He freely gives, cares and shares. As many of you know, Eric has been coming to almost every makeup show out there to take professional photography of makeup artistry. He shares these thousands of spectacular images with artists, enthusiasts, and suppliers after every show.
Eric has been promoting the makeup community in a beautiful light and therefore, helping greatly to spread our makeup obsession with the rest of the world. Most remarkably, Eric has been doing this on his own time, at his own expense and with his own resources.
Unfortunately, this past IMATS Eric took a quick break and upon returning to his photo booth he found out that his $5,900 camera was gone. I know that at some point we all have had something taken away from us but Eric’s situation is deeper than a stolen piece of equipment.
You see, this camera had more value to him than just a price tag. Eric’s mother recently passed away, and knowing his passion for photography, she left him money for a new camera. It was not just the camera that was stolen from Eric at IMATS, it was his mother’s legacy and it meant a great deal to Eric.
With that said, at some point, Eric can most likely come up with the $5,900 to buy another camera but that would not fix his broken heart. However, we, at European Body Art feel that if we all contribute to help Eric buy a new camera, the memory, the legacy and the meaning of it all would be renewed. Although we can never completely recover the feelings Eric had for the camera his mother originally gifted, we can definitely work together to bring deep meaning to a replacement.
So, I am asking you to please make a contribution, even if it is just a very small amount, it all adds up. As a matter of fact, the more people who get involved the more meaning the new camera will carry again.
The European Body Art team, who has had the privilege to get to know Eric over the past couple of years, will kick start the donation with a $100 contribution and will also match each one of your donations, dollar for dollar (up to $5900), with an EBA product credit.
You have nothing to lose. I know Eric will appreciate this greatly and will continue to enlighten our makeup world with beautiful photography.
