My good friend, a best-friend, has a dog who was maliciously attacked by a German Shepard earlier this evening. Toby, the young Beagle, who is currently out of surgery, however, has incurred multiple life-threatening injuries. I've never done this sort of thing but when I found out about the attack I couldn't help but think about how vulnerable dogs are and the irresponsibilities from large-dog owners. Alphonse (my dog) is a Rottweiler-American Bulldog mix. He's 101 lbs of pure melted butter, yet most people are afraid of him. He's approaching 2 years old now and I can't believe how much he has helped me through the daily wear-n-tear.
As all of us who have that special canine-love, we know how harsh the blow becomes when our little (or big) homies sustain life-threatening injuries is.
This isn't a plea for a lot, yet it is a simple request to any of those out there looking to do a good deed. .01 to 1.0.... anything helps. I'm not out to ask for much but it's a chance to feel good for at least one moment and sometimes that one moment can last for a long time.
