BENEFITING: PANCREATIC CANCER ACTION NETWORK INC
EVENT DATE: May 17, 2014
Dear Family and Friends,
On Saturday, May 17th, I will be running in my first half marathon -- the Brooklyn Half Marathon. Those of you who know me well (or even at all) know that I'm not much of an athlete. Yet, here I am, writing to you about a 13.1 mile run I will start, and finish, strong. It won't be easy, but I have the best motivation in the world: Marvin Wurtzelman.
Marvin has been my self-proclaimed Northeastern father for the past decade. His two incredible daughters, Laura and Jill, are like sisters, and his wife, Nancy, is a second mother. Nearly two years ago, Marvin was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Each day he continues his fight, enduring chemo, tests, and radiation. That's why I'm running 13.1 miles.
Now here is where you all come in: I'm asking for donations. The money I raise will go directly to finding a cure for Pancreatic Cancer. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support.
Lots of love always,
