Leukemia won't define Lianne. Team McArmy
Organized by: Clare Dalton
While at University of Tampa, Lianne just couldn't shake sores that appeared in her gums. Dentist prescribed antibiotics over and over and one day her tongue got so swollen she could barely speak. Smiling she posted a photo showing her going to the local ER during a lunch break. Blood work showed dangerously low blood counts and she was directly admitted to ICU needing multiple blood transfusions. The work up included a bone marrow biopsy and the diagnosis returned as AML. Lianne may have Leukemia but Leukemia does NOT have Lianne!! Her friends at university nicknamed McARMY as she transferred to the Moffitt Cancer Center to start therapy. Her strengh, kindness and blinding smile barely wavers as she has now returned to her family in Boston to continue transfusions and chemotherapy and await Bone Marrow Transplant at Dana Farber Cancer Center. Let's show her the love and support and help her in this battle. All donations to this site go directly to Lianne.
Thank You to Bone Marrow and Blood Donors everywhere, true life savers.
