BENEFITING: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
ORGANIZER: LLS Pittsburgh
EVENT DATE: May 04, 2014
Hello family and friends.
The 2014 Pittsburgh Marathon (and Half-Marathon) is quickly approaching. Race Day is Sunday, May 4, 2014. Just as I did for the 2013 Half-Marathon, I am “Running for a Cause”. This year, my close friend Frank DeVuono and I are running to fundraise for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) of Western Pennsylvania.
Thirty (30) years ago this summer, we lost Frank’s father, Mr. D., to Hodgkin disease. Mr. D was a wonderful man who opened his home and touched the lives of all of Frank’s friends. Our efforts to run the 2014 Half-Marathon and to fundraise for LLS are a Memorial to Mr. D.
My fundraising goal is $500.
My race day goal is to still be running as I finish the 13.1 miles.
Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Contributions of any amount would be wonderful. If you are unable to provide financial support at this time, please pray that our training and fundraising efforts are successful.
Thank you for your prayers and support,
P.S. my friend Frank and I are pictured together after our first training run. You can also see Frank at the top of the fundraiser list.
