BENEFITING: BLACK MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE OF GREATER BOSTON INC
EVENT DATE: Apr 11, 2015
My name is Enrique Santiago. I am a senior in high school and I work part-time at Trader Joe's. I love to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and have been for one year and 5 months. Jiu Jitsu has helped me become a lot healthier and loose over 100 pounds. It has helped me feel more confident with myself and with everything I do. It has brought amazing people into my life that I'll never forget, and it has taught me how to fully defend myself against a bigger and stronger opponent using leverage and technique.
Before I started Jiu Jitsu I was really lost. I was making a lot of bad decisions for myself and my future. But since I've started training I feel I've become a better brother, son, worker, friend. It's really helped me find out who I truly am..which is a humble, caring, respectful guy that wants nothing but others around me to grow just as I have.
