BENEFITING: Peconic Bay Medical Center
1 and 8 women in the U.S will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Since 2004 the LI2day Walk has raised more than $4 million to help women with breast cancer by supporting the programs they need. Give today and help those who need it most, like Anne…
Anne was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 50: with two children and an elderly mother who she had quit her job to care for.
Last year, Anne found a lump in her breast. She was terrified. She had no insurance. What would she do?
She called the Cancer Services Program of Suffolk County. She was immediately enrolled in the program, and they were able to schedule an appointment for a clinical breast exam, mammogram and sonogram.
Not only did the CSP enroll Anne in the emergency Medicaid Cancer Treatment Program, they will navigate her through the entire cancer process from biopsy to treatment. The CSP was with Anne, and hundreds of women just like her, when she needed it most—give now and you can be too!
