I'm running my first ever race on September 23rd as a part of Run 10 Feed 10 to help raise money for and awareness about the FEED Foundation, which is committed to "ending world hunger -- one child at a time." I've never run a race before and was told that I wouldn't be able to run again at all after hip surgery I had a couple years ago. Thankfully with the help of acupuncture and a great physical therapist/personal trainer, I'm feeling strong enough to run and am so excited to also raise money for this great cause. When I was teaching in the South Bronx (as part of Teach For America), 100% of my school's students qualified for free lunch, and for many the food they received at school was the only food they could consistently count on. I know how important an organization like the FEED Foundation is, and I really appreciate your support in this fundraising.
