THE STORY:

At the end of this summer, I have the privilege to take a field course in Tanzania, located on the central east coast of Africa. At one point on our trip, we are visiting a village called Loibor Siret where the African People and Wildlife Fund ("APW") is based out of (to find out more about this organization, please go to their website http://afrpw.org/). They focus on building the capacity of rural Africans to engage in environmental conservation and sustainable livelihood strategies that promote the dual objectives of biodiversity conservation and poverty alleviation. Me and the others taking this course hope to raise money so AWP can purchase books in Swahili (the Tanzanian language) and some computers. I would really appreciate any money you would like to donate for the half marathon I am racing in to raise money for this cause!
