BENEFITING: National Tuberous Sclerosis Association Inc
Little N was diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) last December when he began suffering infantile spasms (seizures). I knew absolutely nothing about TSC at the time--never even heard of it. I've since learned that it is as common as Lou Gehrig's disease, can vary in its severity, and can lead to all sorts of health issues throughout Little N's life--from continued seizures to autism to developmental delays, and more. Little N's big sister, L (3 y.o.) absolutely LOVES to run, and she loves her little brother even more. What better way to show my support for Little N and L than to dedicate this marathon (my first!) to them, and hopefully raise some money to help find a cure/improve treatments for those with TSC. My hope is to rase $2620. If I can get 100 people to pledge 1 dollar per mile of the marathon distance, I'll reach my goal. Go to http://www.tsalliance.org for more information about TSC and TSC Alliance.
