Lids for Love
Organized by: Dylan Goldstein
EVENT DATE Feb 20, 2016
Dear Friends & Family,
As most of you may know, I will be celebrating my Bar Mitzvah on February 20. As part of my preparation for my Bar Mitzvah, I am undertaking a mitzvah project to help others called “Lids for Love.” I wanted to do a program that I could have a personal connection with. Since I love to collect baseball hats (and play baseball), I thought it would be a great idea to collect new, snapback hats to donate to children undergoing cancer treatment and being supported by the Children’s Cancer Fund in Miami. By providing children with cool, new hats, I feel that these hats could make the children feel better about themselves, and hopefully boost their self-confidence during their medical fight. My goal is to collect $1,200 and many new hats in a variety of styles for both boys and girls and present them to the kids.
Are you interested in participating in “Lids for Love?” It is very easy to help out…just follow one of these simple steps.
— Purchase a hat for a boy or girl at your local store or online. My mom and I would be happy to either pick up the hat at your home or you can drop the hat at our home.
— Don’t have time to go to the store? No problem. You can either send me a check and I will do the shopping for you OR you can donate directly by using this Crowd Rise page.
Thank you in advance for your support of my mitzvah project. It means a great deal to me, and I look forward to delivering many hats to the kids soon.
