BENEFITING: SANCTUARY OF HOPE
Over 2,000 homeless youth and young adults in South Los Angeles work hard every day to make ends meet. They struggle with life insecurities such as a lack of housing, financial resources, and adult relationships while trying to improve their lives by attending school to obtain a high school diploma or college degree. Life is even harder when there is no food to eat, money to get around town, or safe place to sleep. The whole foundation of life crumbles when a young person has no place to call HOME like Erick who experienced bouts of homelessness since childhood and who has a part-time security job while attending a local community college. Even with resiliency and motivation, getting through the day as a homeless youth is daunting, especially when hunger kicks in, someone asks for a mailing address, or a quiet study environment is needed. Young promising youth like Erick come to Sanctuary of Hope for assistance they need to get on their feet and reach their full potential. Your donation to Sanctuary of Hope will help youth and young adults facing housing insecurities become stable and focus on their educational goals.
