What an incredible Art and Wellness Fair!
May 31, 2016
BENEFITING: Lifelong Medical Care
EVENT DATE: May 21, 2016
We are LifeLong West Berkeley, one of LifeLong Medical Care’s largest health centers that serves underserved populations in Alameda County. We believe that everybody, regardless of income or citizenship status, has the right to accessible and high quality health care services. Here at LifeLong West Berkeley, we don’t treat just illnesses and patients; we treat people and the community at large. Everybody from the front desk staff to the medical providers is dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare to our patients.
The LifeLong West Berkeley Mosaic Project is an opportunity to enhance our healing place and create a more welcoming and warm environment for our patients and visitors. However, we cannot do this alone and we need your help to make LifeLong West Berkeley a more colorful place! Through your support, our patients and community members will come together to participate in the creation of these beautiful mosaics to improve the wellbeing of our patients and their families.
What is the LifeLong West Berkeley Mosaic Project?
We are fundraising to build colorful mosaics along the exterior of the new wing and along the stairs leading up to our health center. The Mosaic will be built by our patients and their families, as the goal of this project is to enhance our healing space for the community.
Who will this directly benefit?
The LifeLong West Berkeley Mosaic Project will create a warm and welcoming place for our patients, staff, and community as a whole.
When will this Mosaic Project take place?
We will be having the LifeLong Art & Wellness Fair on Saturday, May 21, 2016, where our community will come together to help build the Mosaic Project!
Where will the project be held?
The LifeLong Art & Wellness Fair and Mosaic Project will take place at our LifeLong West Berkeley health center: 2031 Sixth Street, Berkeley, 94710.
Why should the community support the Mosaic Project?
As a community health center, LifeLong West Berkeley provides resources for not just our patients, but for the entire community at large to lead a healthier lifestyle. We truly believe that a community is only as healthy as its people, and this Mosaic Project will create a healing environment through which we can heal our patients and the community.
How will my donation support the Mosaic Project?
Your donation will go directly to both resources for the project, such as tiles and other materials, and compensation for the mosaic artist, Dana Albany. See our page for pictures of her previous work in the community!
The goal of this campaign is to build colorful mosaics to create a warm and healing environment for our patients and community. You can make a difference by donating before May 1st. Click the donate button today!
