BENEFITING: LIFE PROJECT INC
We have a burning need for funding and we ask all of our past present & present supporters and all those who are familiar with Life Project, to help raise the money needed to keep the NJIA Health Center and other Life Project endeavors running at required levels.
As of July, we are making significant cutbacks in the manpower and services we provide to the NJIA hospital in order to try to manage our funds wisely. But even that will not be enough. We are concerned that many services will have to be terminated. This would be a great tragedy to over 1,000 patients served by NJIA every month, including babies and their mothers.
The past year delivered double blows to LPA, like many if not most charities. First, the poor economy has caused people to hold onto their pocketbooks. The second blow has been the great human tragedies in Haiti, Chile and elsewhere in the world which have demanded the generosity of many contributors.
The work of NJIA goes on every day to treat people in need. Think of it; women, infants and children with no medical care. Small problems can become grave health concerns without simple and sometimes inexpensive diagnosis, and then treatment. This is the unfortunate reality for so many. People who would have no hope of being treated for health problems – maybe at any time in their lives - now have a place to go, a place that will treat their problems, alleviate pain, discomfort or suffering, and in some cases save lives. The attachment provides details of the positive and sometimes life saving effort of Njia.
Life Project for Africa is honored to have the chance to act as the link between your compassion and generosity, and the Life Saving and Hope Giving institution that NJIA has become in the region. It means more to those people than perhaps we even can imagine.
Please help prevent drastic health care cutbacks to the people NJIA have been helping.
