BENEFITING: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
I wanted to create a fundraiser in memory of Ellie Potvin, an eight-year-old from North Carolina whose life was taken on June 23, 2010 after stage IV rhabdomyosarcoma relapse. She seemed to be an incredible little warrior who told her mother at a very young age of I believe 6 that she "specializes in kindness". Even though Ellie "lost" her personal battle with cancer, her family is still fighting. Their fight is now focused on honoring Ellie while putting an end to pediatric cancer and helping families of children with this horrible disease learn about alternative treatment methods that can help save lives.
Why you should Donate:
Since there is not a way to fundraise for the organization created for Ellie during her fight against cancer, the Lift Up Ellie Foundation, I thought the next best thing would be setting up a fundraiser that benefits an organization that is most well-known for researching and fighting against pediatric cancer, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A little about St. Jude:
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
Now, please if you are able to, DONATE to this great cause and help in the fight against pediatric cancer! Do it for Ellie, do it for someone you love/know, or do it just because it will help a precious child and COULD SAVE A LIFE OR MANY LIVES!!! Thank you!
Please watch the video to the left, just a few more reasons to give and spread the word!!
