Light Up Gaza
Organized by: Tanya Shami
Gaza has been in the dark too long. Since the siege over Gaza, their electricity has been completely shut for 8-10 hours a day. Kids have been effected greatly from not being able to study, read or even worse children have been burnt to death do their candles catching the house on fire. Summer break began for my three children, they are very fortunate for all they have. They see all the distress happening to their peers in Gaza. With the help of my children they want to help Rebuilding Alliance, non-profit organization who found a breakthrough to ship solar-powered Luci Lights directly to Gaza. Donna Walker, founder of Rebuilding Alliance, is an amazing women who found a channel to ship basic necessities to Gaza. Now her new mission is to light up Gaza and already shipped a whole container full of the solar-powered lights. Me and my kids want to help Rebuilding Alliance send their next container. The kids decided to light up 100 homes this summer, that would be 3 lights per home needed to raise $3000. Basically, $30 per home would give sufficient light per household. The kids are super excited to be the Change and bring smiles to the children of Gaza who will be able to study, read or just see their families faces at night. Please donate, anything you can, everything helps. With your help we can show our children that are more fortunate, the power of hope & belief, that we can give light to any darkness our world may have. Let's light up our world! Below are a few words from the kids- "Hi my name is Athena and I'm 10 years old. People in Gaza need money for lights to eat, read, color and to survive. So please donate so the poor children can live. Thanks" "Hi my name is Danah, I'm 9 years old. Gaza's lights are burning down. Help me raise money for Gaza's families. Children need light to do homework, read and even to get around the house to give their parents a hug or kiss. Please help our families in Gaza have a light of hope. Thank you" Thank You for your help.
