Thanks for stopping by this page!
As you may be aware, the recent press surrounding Vanderbilt University has been disturbing and inconsistent with the values this institution has held for over 130 years. As members of both the Greek community and the Vanderbilt community, we recognize that we have the ability --and thus the responsibility--to give back to those in need in our surrounding community and bring increased awareness to a critically important issue: domestic and sexual violence against women.
In a show of support, Vanderbilt University's Greek community has come together to present Lights on the Lawn, a benefit concert that will take place Friday, October 18th, 2013, with all proceeds benefiting the Mary Parish Center for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence. As the largest site of its kind in Tennessee, our goal is to provide transitional housing for 11 victims of domestic and sexual violence and their children for one year, a total amount of $55,000.
