Lily Grace's Genetic Testing

Organized by: David Sandidge

My daughter, Lily Grace, has what is called Neutropenia. Her body doesn't have enough neutrophils to fight all the infections that would normally be fought off. After several weeks of dangerously low levels, her doctor suggested genetic testing to see if it can tell us more about why exactly this is happening to our girl.

Unfortunately, my insurance provided by the US Government, TriCare, refuses to cover the costs for this testing. I told Lily's mom to just go ahead and do it. Nothing is more important to me than finding out what is wrong with Lily's body. She's had multiple bouts of pneumonia and staph infections. She can't go to daycare or be around other kids because they can get her sick. She's not living a normal toddler's life. I just want her to be able to play with kids her age again.

To add to the problem, both Lily's mom and I are currently not working stable jobs. Lily's mom can't work because Lily can't go to daycare. I just left the US Army, and I'm trying to find employment in Ohio so I can be closer. Financially, we are in some trouble when it comes to paying for this testing. It's okay though. We'll get through it no matter what.

It's hard for me to ask for help, but I'm at a loss right now. If you can help at all, please do. The money raised will directly go towards Lily's medical bill. If needed, I will upload an image of the bill showing the final amount owed. If you still feel uneasy, feel free to contact me directly and we can discuss it more in depth.

Thank you all!
