EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2012
Many of you know about the short, but profound life of Lillian Ann Dunkerton. But for those of you who may not, Lily was born on April 2nd, 2011 and left us on April 6th. She was born with an intestinal defect, which was unfortunately irreversible. Lily spent most of her short life at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) in Hartford. It was here that she was cared for by some of the best doctors and nurses around who made it possible for her parents, Jeff and Amber to be blessed with so many amazing moments with Lily. Moments that they will forever hold in their hearts. Although only here on this Earth for a short time, Lily knew nothing but love. And in that short time, she changed our lives and the lives of others forever.
Last year Rosa and I ran in Lily’s honor to raise money for the CCMC. We will be running the half marathon again this year on the 13th of October, which also happens to be Infant Loss Remembrance Month, and I am excited to say that Lily's team of runners has grew. Please help us to keep Lily’s legacy of hope, love, and strength running, and to help support the CCMC. Last year we raised over $3000 thanks to so many of you. The day of the run was so amazing and inspiring. All are welcome to join our team and run, or cheer us on with Jeff, Amber, Lily’s new little brother Jack, and some friends and family.
Thank you again!
